Open a Portuguese company, remotely.
Incorporate a Portuguese private limited company (Lda) or single-owner Unipessoal Lda. Articles of Association, commercial registration, every owner's NIF and fiscal representation, your NIPC, RCBE and Certidão Permanente. Handled end to end, without a trip to Portugal.
What you're setting up
A Portuguese company, properly formed.
A Portuguese Lda (Sociedade por Quotas) is a private limited company, its own legal person that can invoice, sign contracts, hold assets and open a bank account, with your liability limited to the capital you put in. If you're the only owner, the Unipessoal Lda (Sociedade Unipessoal por Quotas) is the single-shareholder version of the same structure.
You don't need to live in Portugal, or visit. There's no nationality or residency requirement to own a Portuguese company. Carreh handles the local steps (NIF, fiscal representation, Articles, registration) so you can incorporate from anywhere. The one rule that catches people out: every owner needs a Portuguese tax number first.

How it works
Incorporated in weeks, not months.
A Portuguese Lda typically takes 2–4 weeks, because of the NIF, Articles and registry steps. We keep you posted as each stage clears.
NIF & fiscal representation
Every shareholder and director needs a Portuguese tax number (NIF) before incorporation; owners resident outside the EU/EEA appoint a fiscal representative. We arrange both.
Company name reservation
We check availability and reserve your chosen name with the National Registry of Legal Persons (RNPC), issuing the admissibility certificate.
Articles & share capital
We draft your Articles of Association (business object, share split, management) and guide the share-capital declaration, from as little as €1 per shareholder.
Commercial registration & NIPC
The company gains legal personality and its NIPC at the Commercial Registry, and we file the RCBE beneficial-owner register.
Tax, Social Security & delivery
We register the company with Finanças and Segurança Social, deliver your Certidão Permanente and documents, and introduce you to a bank when you're ready.
What you'll need
Have these handy.
You won't need all of this to start, once you send your request, we collect documents one step at a time through a secure, encrypted upload. No loose email attachments.
The one thing to know
NIF first: always.
Every owner needs a Portuguese NIF before the company exists
A Portuguese company can't be incorporated until each shareholder and director holds a NIF (tax number), and owners whose tax address is outside the EU/EEA must appoint a fiscal representative. This is the step people underestimate, so we build it into your formation from day one, arrange the NIFs and fiscal representation for you, and confirm exactly what each owner needs before any work begins. Fees and requirements are current guidance and confirmed for your case in your quote.
