Import Travel History: start with the trips you have already taken

Carreh reads a file you export yourself, finds the travel in it, and shows you every record before a single trip is added to your account.

Import Travel History moves the trips you have already taken into Carreh. You export a file from wherever your history lives now, Carreh reads it, and you review everything it found before any of it is written. Nothing is added on trust.

Carreh never signs in to another travel app on your behalf. There is no account linking and no password to hand over. You choose a file you already control. Included with Carreh Premium.

How it works

A file you export, not an account you hand over

Carreh reads three formats: CSV, JSON and ICS calendar files.

  • No sign-in to any other travel service
  • No password, no account linking, no permissions to grant
  • Up to 5 MB per file, and more than one file per import

On iPhone you can instead pick calendars you already own. Carreh reads past events, up to five years back, and builds the file itself.

It finds the travel inside the file

Each row is sorted into one of nine kinds: flights, stays, trains, buses, ferries, car hire, transfers, events and other.

Column names differ between services, so Carreh matches them loosely. departure_airport, Departure Airport and departureairport all resolve to the same field.

A row Carreh cannot classify becomes other rather than being dropped. Nothing in your file is discarded quietly.

Every record is reviewed before anything is written

Processing writes to a staging area, never to your account. You see what Carreh found and decide what happens to it.

  • Records missing a date or a flight number are flagged and left unticked
  • You can correct a record before importing it
  • You can import some records and leave the rest behind

A final screen states what will be created and what will be skipped. It is the last step before anything is added.

Duplicates are excluded, not merged

Every record is checked against the bookings already in your Logg.

  • A matching confirmation number is treated as a duplicate and left out
  • So is a matching type, date and flight number together
  • A weaker match is flagged for you to judge, never actioned quietly

Carreh leaves duplicates out rather than merging them, and it shows which evidence it used.

Trips first, then Atlas

Confirmed records become trips, stops and bookings. Records within three days of each other are grouped into one trip.

Countries and cities reach Atlas through Carreh’s existing visit rules, the same path a trip logged by hand follows. Passport stamps come from that same route.

If you change your mind, Undo removes what the import created. A trip is kept only if other bookings still sit on it.

On iPhone, Carreh reads past events from calendars you choose and builds the file itself.

Nine record types

Flights, stays, trains, buses, ferries, car hire, transfers, events and other.

Frequently asked questions

Does Carreh sign in to my other travel apps?

No. There is no account linking and no integration. You export a file yourself and upload it. Carreh never asks for a password to another service.

Which file formats can I import?

CSV, JSON and ICS calendar files, up to 5 MB each. You can upload more than one file in a single import.

Is anything added to my account before I approve it?

No. Processing writes to a staging area. You review every record and confirm on a final screen before a single trip, stop or booking is created.

What happens if a record is already in Carreh?

It is treated as a duplicate and left out. Carreh matches on the confirmation number, or on the type, date and flight number together. A weaker match is flagged for you rather than actioned.

Do imported trips appear in Atlas?

Yes. Countries and cities follow Carreh’s existing visit rules, exactly as they would for a trip you logged yourself, and passport stamps come from that same route.

Is Import Travel History part of Carreh Premium?

Yes. Carreh Premium is required to start an import. What you import stays in your account if your subscription later ends.

Can I undo an import?

Yes. Undo removes the bookings that import created, and removes a trip only when no other booking is left on it.
